Tomodachi Tours & Safaris or Rafiki safari which means friend in English is a tour company which was established in 2005. The idea to establish Tomodachi  Tours & Safaris was to respond to various requests that we received from various corporate groups, individuals, organized groups and business people who wanted and needed to take a break from their busy schedules and just have fun while at the same time relaxing and unwinding amidst nature. We realised that there existed gap in the market to provide travel logistics services including destinations shopping, hotels, lodges and camp booking, transport logistics, air ticket booking,tour planning and guiding services. It is to fill this gap that Tomodachi Tours & Safaris was therefore established in 2005. Tomodachi Tours & Safaris was incorporated as a private company limited by shares on 13th December 2005 and it has been trading as such since then. Central to our success as among the leading Tour Company has been our mission and our vision which are underpinned by our core values.

Tomodachi Tours & Safaris Today

We have an office at Boma Road, New Safari Hotel Building, 2nd floor in Arusha. This means that any our partners, especially hotels send mails and correspondence through this office that is centrally located in the hub of Tourism east and central Africa.
From humble beginnings of organizational local tours, travels and safaris, Tomodachi Safaris has grown and built competencies and capabilities to serve both the corporate and retail client. Our experience enables us to deliver very personalized service at most competitive rates.
Our rapid growth has steamed from our very intimate interaction with thousand of tourist all who top notch services and who will settle for nothing short of the best. This has given us immense exposure and experience in organizing local and international destination logistics, air transfers, hotel booking, cultural tours, balloon safaris, horse riding game tour and transport logistics.
In addition we have now signed numerous contracts with hotels in East Africa, Airline operators and look forward in doing business with them. Further and as part of our efforts to diversify our market from local corporate groups to international market, we have set one website which permits our clients to interface with us especially our foreign clients for whom they book directly.

Our products range includes road and air safaris, beach holiday, luxury and semi-luxury lodges, luxury and semi-luxury camping, budget camping safaris, Mount Kilimanjaro climbing, Mount Meru climbing, Mount Oldonyo Lengai climbing, cultural tour to indigenous Tanzanian tribes like Masai, Hadzabe and Datonga, tailor made trips, exclusive and flying packages, balloon safaris, horse riding game safaris, car hires, airport transfers, shuttle services, school trips. Missionary trips, volunteering trips, honey mooners trips etc.
We extend our services to both local resident market and International clientele, which has given us an in-depth knowledge and expertise on discerning travellers’ needs.

TRANSPORT SERVICES
Our rich fleet of locally assembled vehicles that includes 8-seater Minibuses, 4×4 landcrusers and land rovers, coaches, saloon cars of varied capacities. We also have services of V.I.P and Executive chauffeur driven services.
For security and well being of our clients, our vehicles have the followings features:
·         Long and short range HF radios.
·         Fire extinguishers
·         Medical first aid kit
·         Two spare tyres for all our safari vehicles.
·         Pop-up fabric roofs for all our safari vehicles
·         Comfortable seats which makes some one to enjoy a full day tour.
In addition all our vehicles are maintained and serviced by our mechanics that are highly trained and experienced in this line
Our experienced driver guides are well trained in customer’s services, vehicles handling and first aid administration. In addition all our drivers have knowledge of all road terrain and well equipped with special skills on and off road.
To complete the package our driver guides have extensive knowledge of our country’s history, culture, flora and fauna, people skills having been trained regularly in some of the leading institutions.
While on duty we ensure all our staff including the drivers are in full uniform with their name tags on to present a professional look and allow for easy identification and communication.
